Daniel Bowen | Club Secretary

Mr. Daniel Bowen is a lifelong Alaskan, husband, parent, and student. He has served in many local and federal government positions. In his current local government position, he is serving as the Chairman of the State of Alaska, Matanuska-Susitna Borough Board of Ethics, which oversees all legal and judicial rulings that deal with ethical matters. This can be a simple hearing, investigation, and ruling or the removal from public office, fines, civil penalties, reconciliation, divestiture, and criminal penalties.

On the federal government side, Mr. Bowen has been in various positions ranging from being a Master Behavior Detection Officer in the Office of Behavior Detection and Analysis to now serving in incident management, mass communication, and data report analytics position.

Throughout his educational path, Mr. Bowen has many diplomas, certifications, and educational ventures from many colleges, ranging from an occupational diploma in Security Services to specializing in Criminal Law and Procedures. At this time, Daniel is working towards his goal of obtaining a Juris Doctorates.

As a charter member of the Optimist International Club of Anchorage, Alaska, Mr. Bowen hopes that he can impart some of his wisdom, education, and experience to further his commitment to serving his fellow citizen and hopefully giving back to a community and family that has helped him accomplish so many of his personal goals in life. This is because Mr. Bowen believes that charity, hope, and brotherly love are what being a good person is all about.
