Richard Sursa Appointed to Fill Vacant Director Board Seat for the Optimist Club of Anchorage, Alaska

Anchorage, Alaska, April 6, 2023 - The Optimist Club of Anchorage, Alaska is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Sursa to fill the vacant Director Board seat, effective April 1, 2023. Richard was elected to serve as Director and will continue in this important role until September 30, 2026.

Richard comes from a family with a rich history of volunteering and community involvement. His extensive experience in government work and passion for helping young people make him an invaluable asset to our Board. We are confident that Richard's unique insights and expertise will contribute significantly to the growth and success of our Club.

As a side note, our Board consists of three Directors elected every three years, with one Director seat up for election every year. This rotating structure ensures a continuous infusion of fresh ideas and perspectives, promoting dynamic leadership and effective governance for the benefit of our members and the community.

Richard Sursa's appointment to the Board of Directors reaffirms the Optimist Club of Anchorage, Alaska's commitment to assembling a diverse and talented leadership team.
